This article from Resource Recycling shows how steep the price drops are for various paper products that typically comprise the majority of curbside recyclables. Mixed paper now sells for $5 per ton, and all-time low, down from $75/ton in August 2017. Similarly, corrugated cardboard is now selling for $88/ton, down from a high of $180 in July 2017.

Since China is rejecting America’s trashed recycling (i.e., single stream), other developing nations will now be dumped upon.  I’ll be posting news about that situation soon.
